Museum of Beer & Brewing

 

Homebrewers, mark your calendars! In the Spring of 2009 Pabst Brewery Offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin will be hosting the Grand Opening of the The Museum of Beer and Brewing (MBB).

 

The MBB " (...) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and displaying the proud history of beer and brewing throughout the world and particularly in North America.

 

To further this mission, the Museum of Beer & Brewing the founders envision the creation of an organization that will preserve and showcase the history of beer and the brewing industry throughout the centuries for the benefit, enjoyment and education of the public. The museum will strive for the support of all beer, brewing, and related organizations and the public."

Sapporo Beer Museum
 
Sapporo Beer Museum, the only beer museum in Japan, was opened in July of 1987 to provide visitors with a varied knowledge of beer and brewing. Renovated in 2004, the exhibition allows guests to learn easily about the history of Sapporo Breweries Ltd. and the beer industry in Japan. The building which now houses Sapporo beer Museum was constructed under the direction of foreign engineers in 1890 as the factory of the Sapporo Sugar Company. It is one of the precious cultural legacies of the Meiji Era, together with the old red brick Hokkaido Government Office. Sapporo Beer Museum has been selected to receive the official "Hokkaido Heritage" designation.

 America's Oldest Brewery

 

Established in 1829 on Centre Street in Pottsville, Pennsylvania by David G. Yuengling the Eagle Brewery was placed in 1976 on the national and state registers as America's oldest brewery. In 2009, the Yuengling Brewery will be celebrating 180 years of continuous Yuengling family ownership and operation. The Eagle Brewery have remained unique among breweries, distinguished by their culture, heritage, traditions, and portfolio of brands.

Australia's Oldest Brewery

 

Step back in time and experience the workings of the Cascade Brewery. See the production process of some of Australia's finest beers in the historic plant where brewing dates back to 1824. Take a walk through the magnificent Woodstock Gardens. Tour the Cascade Museum with all its colourful historic items. Taste the famous Cascade products. It's all part of the tour.

 

Tours are conducted 9.30am and 1pm Monday to Friday, excluding Public Holiday. There are extra tours at peak times based on demand.
